Position Overview
We are looking for a talented Copywriter with experience in the early years sector and a strong understanding of marketing processes. This role requires someone who can write high quality, engaging copy across a range of channels while maintaining a consistent organisational voice. You will play a key part in supporting marketing campaigns across services, brand communications and e commerce, coordinating workloads and timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
The ideal candidate combines creative thinking with confident communication, thrives in collaborative environments, and brings a completer finisher approach with exceptional attention to detail. Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, engaging, and accurate copy for emails, product pages, social media, websites, blogs, and printed materials
- Tailor tone and messaging for different audiences while maintaining the organisation’s voice and values
- Produce content for both service-based communications and e-commerce campaigns
- Edit, proofread, and refine content to a high professional standard
- Build marketing emails with an understanding of audience differences and customer segmentation
- Support the delivery of cross-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met
- Contribute creative ideas to improve engagement, conversion, and brand visibility, refining messaging as needed to optimise performance
- Work with the campaign calendar and oversee content workflows to keep projects on track
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Proven copywriting experience within the early years or education sector
- Strong understanding of marketing processes, campaign workflows, and customer journeys
- Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to maintain and promote a consistent organisational tone of voice
- Highly effective communicator across internal and external channels, demonstrating prompt and professional responses
- Exceptionally organised, capable of coordinating multiple priorities while effectively managing a content calendar
- Positive, collaborative attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Desirable
- Experience in e-commerce environments, with strong technical skills and familiarity with key digital and marketing tools such as HubSpot, Trello, WordPress, and SEMrush
- Ideally has hands-on experience in early years teaching
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Full Time
- Hours: 5 days per week 8.30am – 4.45pm (38.75 hours per week)
- Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Contract Term: Permanent
- Location: Elland, West Yorkshire. Office based, with the opportunity for one day of remote working after successful completion of the induction period
