This expert-led, full-day session explores contemporary art and creativity in the outdoors. Gain confidence and learn innovative ways to engage young children with contemporary sculpture. Be inspired to support children’s creative making and consider how sculptural play and experimentation supports meaning making. Understand how installation, sound, light and materials can translate to your environment and enriches your curriculum.
Spend time beneath the trees in YSP’s ‘Hidden Forest’, an outdoor creative space specifically designed for young children. Explore how a well-planned outdoor area is a powerful learning environment for young children and consider how contemporary sculpture, art-making and creativity in the outdoors benefits wellbeing and encourages rich play.
