Our Woodland Scenery Set offers a selection of playful resources that will support imaginative thinking and story telling skills during exploration and small world play. As children use this wonderful set of creative scenery pieces they can share their ideas of imagined fairy lands and forest worlds, introducing new language to the EYFS classroom.
The mix of colourful wooden felted trees, natural materials and craft resources will add an extra dimension to small world play. Children can create woodland scenes using the wooden felted trees, wooden slices, discs and mini wooden shapes. The pretend craft flowers can be used as children create fantasy worlds for fluttering fairies and insect habitats. Extend play opportunities and introduce the Mini Fairies Set and watch as children play collaboratively to create whimsical fairy scenes.
These craft pieces could also be used in Expressive Arts & Design activities – using the pieces to decorate their own creations and models.
Offering a good range of open-ended resources within the provision will support children’s communication and language skills at this early stage of development.
