Description
Offering a variety of open-ended resources in the provision will enrich learning and support fine motor skills as children experience holding, grasping and positioning unusual materials. This Wooden Shape Mix is ideal for mark making activities, loose parts play and great for small world play, as children engage in creating woodland landscapes for their stories.
These natural resources can also be explored in sand play to create patterns in wet sand, or perhaps used as stepping stones for fantasy characters. They can also be used during water play, where children can explore the properties of these natural resources – watching the mini wooden shapes float above the water, as they create imagined stories at sea!
