Underlying all aspects of number and calculation, it is essential that children embed their understanding through skilful, guided work using high quality resources such as these Wooden Measurement Rods along with our Place Value Set and Base Ten Set.
When used effectively, with increasing independence and confidence, these products will help to develop an understanding of number bonds. It will also support approaches to bar modelling. Each wooden counting stick is made with high-quality wood, in four sizes. When each of the sizes are combined, the counting sticks make up 1 metre – children can sort these by size or use them to calculate together.
These Wooden Measurement Rods include:
- 5cm Counting Sticks x 20
- 10cm Counting Sticks x 10
- 20cm Counting Sticks x 5
- 25cm Counting Sticks x 4
- Each counting stick has a diameter of 8mm
- Suitable for age 3 and over
