Promote active learning and support children with their early reading and writing skills by offering engaging literacy resources within the provision. Children will enjoy this tactile Set of Word Building Pebbles, as they learn the alphabet and form simple word structures.
As children trace the letter shapes of each engraved sensory stone, this will help develop their motor-memory skills and understanding of the simple shapes needed for writing letters, to eventually form basic words. Through adult supported play, children will experiment with marks – producing drawing and writing with increasing skill as they record and express their ideas. This wonderful resource will support children as they link and apply letters, sounds and words to writing.
Whilst leading children’s mark making towards writing is a skilful process, this set will establish an inspiring activity to promote children’s passion, confidence and skill in early writing.
