Our Complete Sand Area for 5-7yrs provides a wide range of resources that will support play and learning. Children will begin to investigate the properties of dry and wet sand – discovering the properties of dry sand, how it moves and flows, and encouraging KS1 children to explore the process of transforming dry sand to wet and then moulding and moving wet sand. As a highly sensory open-ended resource, children will have many opportunities to explore known materials, make links and act out experiences as well as learn key maths, science and language concepts in the process.
