Panyaden International School
We are delighted to be working with Panyaden International School to provide an inspirational training day for Teaching Assistants and interested Teachers working in International Schools. Focused on ‘The Child at the Heart: Developing Effective Early Years Practice’, the day offers the following key sessions: First Steps: Understanding Child Development and A 1000 Times a Day: Securing Effective Interactions.
First Steps: Understanding Child Development
During the morning we will explore the range of evidence that demonstrates how young children develop cognitively and physically – reflecting on how we can use this knowledge to create an environment which best supports this and gaining an understanding of the ‘critical window’ during which early childhood learning thrives.
A 1000 Times a Day: Securing Effective Interactions
High quality interactions are central to effective early years practice. For these to be successful requires skilled adults. This session will demonstrate how engaging in effective conversations during child-initiated activities helps children absorb new vocabulary, expand their knowledge and extend their thinking. Delegates will come away with strategies to successfully improve the quality of their adult-child interactions.
