Job Role: Supply Chain Team Leader, 26-32k

 Early Excellence is a professional company with a fantastic 23-year history of supporting schools to achieve outstanding teaching and learning.

We are looking for a highly capable Supply Chain Team Leader to manage inventory and purchase products based on our company’s needs. As a Supply Chain Team Leader, you will play a crucial role by ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods and services throughout the supply chain process, including tracking shipments, and maintaining reports of purchases, despatches, and pricing.

The role is a key part of what we do, providing the crucial ‘bridge’ between our customers and our internal sales, finance, and logistics teams. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have excellent communication, IT, and analytical skills. In addition, building successful relationships and having managerial qualities is essential.

Role Overview:

To take responsibility for the end-to-end supply of the complete product range of over 3,000 SKUs. Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.  To support the buying team with the souring of new & substitute products, liaising closely with the warehouse team to oversee quality control.

Your responsibilities:

 Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Calculating, raising, and submitting purchase orders with suppliers and ensuring POs are up to date – checking for price and quantity.
  • Managing the critical path process from order placement, identifying production and supply chain issues, and dealing with any problems/ delays as they arise
  • Monitoring and analysing stock holdings
  • Managing the departments administrative activities, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted flow of goods and services.
  • Coordinating stock control operations with the warehouse staff.
  • Maintaining supplier records, including supplier audits to ensure high ethical standards across our supply base.
  • Collaborating with other staff members in the sales, finance, warehouse, and logistics teams, to ensure smooth coordination and communication throughout the supply chain.
  • Continually reviewing the quality of products received and escalating any concerns regarding
  • Setting up and maintaining bill of materials and working closely with the buying team to manage agreed product substitutions.
  • Assessing samples for suitability of quality, price and sustainability
  • Reporting on supplier issues, shipping costs and price increases

  • Extensive experience in supply chain data analysis.

Contract Type: Full Time: 8.30am – 5.00pm

Salary: 26-32k

Contract Term: Permanent

Location: Elland (Halifax)
