E-commerce Content Co-ordinator

Role Overview:

As E-commerce Content Co-ordinator you will be responsible for co-ordinating website content, writing SEO friendly copy, developing accurate listings and maintaining product visibility across the EEx webshop, partner webshops and various ecommerce platforms as agreed. Co-ordinating and managing photography shoots, with product listing and optimisation being key strands of the role.

Duties Include:

Product Photography & Image Management

In liaison with the Supply Team & Education Team:

  • Co-ordinating the planning, preparation and organisation of all product photography – before, during and after photography sessions
  • Liaising with freelance photographers and the in-house team to manage diaries
  • Leading, managing and running photography days. To be on set, style and display resources for all signed off sets, to confidently sign off images working with the photographer – distribute contact sheets and images appropriately once shot
  • Co-ordinating the planning, preparation and organisation of products ‘in action’ and lifestyle photoshoots both in house and on location – including co-ordinating SLA and consent forms for any public/children’s/on location photography
  • Managing the efficiency, accuracy and quality of all product photography to meet brand standards and deadlines
  • Assessing gaps in product photography, ‘in action’ and lifestyle images, and planning a schedule for new images to be taken
  • Co-ordinating the selection and signoff of images, cutting out of product shots for brochure and web use
  • Managing the image library, creating and maintaining category files that reflect website structure
  • To confirm that orders of stocks needed for photography are placed with the warehouse (full sets) by the supply team and that the drivers deliver and return on schedule

Product Listings

In liaison with the Supply Team & Education Team:

  • Collating accurate product data, age, dimensions, eco, safety, disposal, etc for use on product listings
  • Creating CSV/google docs and spreadsheets as required to effectively manage the range, product listings and website management
  • Managing product photo edits and variant image storage in response to substitute process
  • Sense checking webshop listings for errors, and to improve SEO linked to focused marketing campaigns
  • Attending substitute and planning meetings as and when required to coordinate any image edits for any shot/current images where appt – working closely with the in house artworker
  • Coordinating and actioning any product amendments across all website platforms
  • Re-ordering the product layout for products in each webpage category and to confidently action placement of products across website categories

Descriptions & SEO

In liaison with the Marketing & Education Team:

  • Creating and writing engaging copy for all products – to include SEO friendly text for all standalone products and product sets in line with agreed templates. Ensuring that product specifications and the way the product is used educationally is accurate
  • Proofreading copy, titles and codes, for print and digital purposes, ensuring accuracy of product information
  • Completing on-page organic SEO suitable for multiple platforms using the latest SEO tools. Researching and implementing keywords and phrases whilst maintaining the reputation of our strong brand within our business sector
  • Optimising featured and seasonal listings to increase sales conversion
  • Maintaining existing listings across all platforms including item descriptions and photography where product has gone out of stock, discontinued or supplier change requires updated product photography. Identify and resolve issues quickly to avoid customer service issues.
  • General maintenance checks for websites, including fixing broken links

Sales & Marketing

  • Assisting in and overseeing the sign off of all Product Brochure design and accuracy, responsible for product and lifestyle images, codes and prices and proof reading
  • Managing the print process from quote through to delivery, liaising with designer / print agencies to sign off proofs and oversee print on press
  • To update the Curriculum & Centre Teams with new product ranges, changes to the category listing on the website and any brochures
  • Supporting product sales by assisting in the development of new websites, microsites and landing pages
  • Assisting in social media activity as needed to support product promotion/sales

Additional Responsibilities

  • To assist the Sales & Supply Teams with any processing activities over sales peak periods
  • To assist, as needed, in other areas of the business including hospitality, admin, marketing and warehouse to help as required due to peak demand or staff crisis


Contract Terms: 

Contract Type: 8.30am – 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 4.00pm Friday
Salary: 25-30k
Contract Term: Permanent
Location: Early Excellence Centre, Outlane, Huddersfield
