Description

The gender gap is a much-discussed topic across the education sector. Practitioners often come across the same problems; with boys not appearing to fully engage in an adult lead activities or reluctant to use all experiences provided to support their learning. It is critical that we plan meaningful and challenging experiences that connect with all children’s passions and spark their imaginations!

This course will explore theories behind young children’s development and how these relate specifically to boys. Throughout the day participants will consider how we can address these issues in imaginative and practical ways; including time exploring the Centre’s interactive environment. Case studies will be shared, to highlight how by making small changes we can have a positive impact for all learners.
